For financial aid recipients: Financial aid typically begins disbursing 10 days before the start of instruction for the semester. For Fall 2026, the majority of financial aid will begin disbursing on August 17, 2026. To view the disbursement dates for your accepted awards, log in to CalCentral, go to Financial Aid > View Awards, and click on the desired award. Your bill will not reflect accepted financial aid until after disbursement.
Key Dates
| July 8-22 | Assessed tuition fees are viewable in CalCentral: July 8 for continuing undergraduate students; July 22 for continuing graduate students. New students will be assessed once they are enrolled. |
| July 15 | Deadline to Waive Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) without a fee |
| August 15 | Deadline to Waive Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) with $75 fee |
| August 17 | Financial aid, scholarships, and fellowships begin to disburse |
| August 19 | Fall 2026 emergency loan application available |
| August 21 | Official fee payment due date. (Fee remissions and fellowship disbursements may continue to be processed after this date.) |
| August 25 | Last day to withdraw without obligation to pay some or all tuition and fees |
| August 26 | Instruction begins |
| September 1 | Cost of Attendance adjustment request forms open for Fall 2026 |
